Booking Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of these terms, any references to “we”, “us”, “our” or “event organiser” means Active Housing, part of Hallnet Ltd. 

Booking

Following completion of the booking and payment form we will provide you with a booking confirmation and VAT invoice. 

A confirmed booking, once paid in full, guarantees entry to the event each delegate included in the booking 

If you make a booking as an organisation on behalf of one or more employees:

– the contract is considered between us and your organisation
– all booked employees must comply with these terms
– if an employee is in breach of these terms this will be considered a breach by your organisation

Bookings are subject to availability and can only be considered binding once you have received a booking confirmation from us.

Payments may be made online via debit/credit card or by invoice.

Payment by invoice

Invoices must be paid in full within 30 days of receipt.

If you make a booking fewer than 31 days before the event, you must pay any invoice immediately on receipt.

Where any undisputed invoice or part of an invoice remains unpaid after the due date we may apply interest at 5% above the Bank of England base rate (calculated from due date until date payment is received).   

 

Cancellation

You may cancel your booking and receive a full refund of any sums paid if we receive your notice of cancellation within the statutory ‘cancellation period’ of 14 days starting on the day after we sent you a booking confirmation

You may also cancel your booking at any other time and receive a full refund of any money paid if:

– we are in breach of these Terms and we fail to resolve the situation within 14 days
– we make an alteration to the event which renders it no longer suitable for you

You may cancel your booking for other reasons however a percentage of the cost of your booking will remain payable in line with the rules below.

If we receive your notice of cancellation:

– 90 or more days prior to the event date, 25% of the cost of your booking will remain payable
– 31 to 89 days prior to the event date, 50% of the cost of your booking will remain payable
– 30 or fewer days prior to the event date, 100% of the cost of your booking will remain payable.

Amendment

Change of delegate name

If you wish to change the name of one or more delegates on your booking an admin charge of £25.00 + VAT per change will apply.  We will issue a new invoice for this fee and provide you with a new booking confirmation. With regard to invoice payment terms the rules as per new bookings will apply. 

Upgrade

If you wish to upgrade your booking we will issue a new invoice for the difference in cost and provide you with a new booking confirmation. With regard to invoice payment terms the rules as per new bookings will apply 

Booking upgrades are subject to availability.

 

Our Rights

We may amend the event content, speakers, timing and venue for any reason beyond our control however we will not be liable for any loss or damage as a result of any such amendment.                       

We may cancel the event if factors beyond our control prevent adequate delivery or if delegate numbers fall below a viable level. If we do so we will issue a full refund of the cost of your booking however we will not be liable for any loss or damage as a result of the cancellation.  

We may withdraw you or your delegates from the event with no refund of any money paid if you fail to pay your invoices on time, if you do anything unlawful or if you do anything which adversely affects, offends or damages the event, the event organisator or any event delegate                 

We may share a register of booked delegates with other delegates or potential delegates. If any delegate wishes to be removed from this list, please contact us.

Miscellaneous

Views and opinions expressed by speakers during the event are the views and opinions of those speakers only and we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of such views and opinions.

All intellectual property used or created by the event organiser during the delivery of the event remains property of the event organiser and all intellectual property used or created by any speaker during the delivery of the event remains property of the speaker.

You undertake and warrant that you shall not copy, reproduce or transfer any such intellectual property. 

Notices from you under these Terms must be given in writing to the event organisers address.

The laws of England and Wales shall apply to all bookings and, subject to the dispute resolution procedure, the courts of England should have exclusive jurisdiction to settle a dispute.

If any term, whole or in part, is proved invalid, the remainder of the terms shall remain valid.

 

Complaints & Disputes

If you wish to complain or raise a dispute please write to us at the event organisers address.

We aim to resolve any dispute through mutual agreement however, where this not possible, the dispute may be referred to a single arbitrator to be appointed through mutual agreement. This does not preclude the making of an application to the Court for injunctive relief.
